From the author
I was born in a mountain shack in 1979... and to my shame, still live in one. I got a very nice report card in my first year of kindergarten, which in hindsight, was the pinnacle of my academic life. I've since travelled the world, crashed a hang-glider, caught SARS, lived in the mountains of China and studied the bagpipes on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
I also managed to found, build, and then drive to ruin, both a restaurant and an online retail network. In between all this I made and lost a fortune on the stock market, worked as interpreter at various universities and assisted in the translation of some obscure Chinese poetry, which I doubt anyone will ever read.
The only constant during all of the above stupidity, has been my writing, and I plan to use it to dig my way out of the hole that pride and misguided ambition have left me in.
